About the Role
Bradley David Associates is seeking for a Finance Specialist with Logistics Experience to support our reputable client, growing operations. This role combines strong financial expertise with industry-specific knowledge of logistics, cargo handling, and port operations. The successful candidate will oversee core financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. This role is Project based for 3 months only, with potential to become permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
- Prepare, review, and present financial reports to management.
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliation.
- Oversee bookkeeping functions and ensure timely transaction processing.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support internal financial controls, audits, and risk management processes
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to align financial processes with business needs
- Work closely with operations teams to oversee agent-related financial activities.
- Provide financial insights to support logistics and port operations decision-making.
- Assist in cost tracking, inventory-related financial management, and operational reporting.
- Partner with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven background in finance/accounting with a strong understanding of auditing, controls, and compliance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with financial software and MS Office; Cargo Wise experience is a must.
- Familiarity with port operations, logistics, or inventory management.
- Experience overseeing agent operations is an asset.
- Operations-related financial exposure is a bonus.
- Bookkeeping: Hands-on experience managing bookkeeping functions.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
