Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategic planning and alignment in partnership with B2B Marketing teams and channel owners.
  • Manage events from conception through to completion across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats, including research, proposal development, logistics, stakeholder management, feedback collection and post-event evaluation.
  • Manage the company sponsored events programme, including evaluating opportunities, liaising with publishers, industry bodies and third-party suppliers, and monitoring return on investment.
  • Coordinate bespoke internal events, including Senior Leadership events, key colleague initiatives and other ad hoc activities as required.
  • Prepare and manage detailed pre- and post-event budgets, ensuring strict adherence to financial controls, approvals, risk assessments, invoices and expense processes.
  • Manage event communications, from recruitment and promotion through to post-event follow-up.
  • Conduct venue research and site inspections, and provide on-site management during events (including occasional evening or weekend work).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies relating to governance, compliance, audit, risk and financial procedures.

  • Act as the primary contact for event planning and coordination across the organisation and with external event suppliers, while maintaining oversight of the central events calendar.
  • Collaborate closely with Distribution, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure all events are coordinated effectively, presenters and delegates are supported, and appropriate financial promotion approvals are obtained where required.
  • Ensure event activity is appropriately targeted using adviser data from the CRM system, with ongoing analysis and reporting on programme performance.
  • Support the wider Marketing team with cross-product marketing and communication initiatives, including projects aimed at improving marketing services and processes.
  • Lead the development and evolution of the end-to-end events channel strategy (both face-to-face and virtual), supporting the firm’s growth ambitions by generating high-quality leads, improving measurement and planning through data insights, and adopting new technologies and best practices.
  • Oversee event budgets and financial management, including cost forecasting, vendor negotiation, expense tracking and ensuring delivery within budget.
