About the Role
An established and growing financial services organisation is seeking a Compliance Support Specialist to join its compliance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in financial services compliance, risk, governance or regulatory operations who is looking to broaden their career within a supportive and professional environment.
Working alongside senior compliance professionals, you'll help ensure the business operates in line with regulatory requirements, supports positive customer outcomes and continually improves its compliance framework and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Compliance team in maintaining regulatory compliance across the business.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory returns.
- Produce and analyse management information (MI) and KPI reporting.
- Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and internal documentation.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve governance and regulatory controls.
- Assist with file reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Support the investigation of customer complaints and identify trends or root causes.
- Help monitor financial promotions and regulatory communications.
- Assist with internal audits and compliance monitoring programmes.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and customer outcomes.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation in line with regulatory standards.
About You
You'll be a detail-oriented compliance professional with excellent organisational skills and a genuine interest in regulation and governance.
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience within financial services compliance, risk or governance.
- Good understanding of FCA regulations and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience producing management information (MI) and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to work across different business areas.
Desirable
- Experience supporting regulatory returns or compliance monitoring.
- Knowledge of financial promotions, complaints handling or conduct risk.
- Relevant compliance qualifications or a desire to study towards one.
- Experience working within wealth management, financial planning, insurance or another regulated financial services environment.
