Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

Bradley David Associates is recruiting a shipping and logistics coordinator to join our valued client based near Maldon, Essex.

We are looking for a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimise the transportation and distribution of goods globally. The successful candidate will ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards. This role is essential to supporting our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

• Up to £30,000 - dependent on experience.
• Monday to Friday - 9am - 5:15pm, 1 hour lunch.
• Annual bonus based on company performance
• Opportunities to develop and progress within the company

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments of goods.
• Schedule transportation, track shipments, and resolve shipping delays or issues.
• Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Prepare and process shipping documents.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipping records.
• Negotiate freight rates and manage shipping budgets.
• General admin duties.

Qualifications:

• Logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination experience.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international transportation, freight, and customs procedures.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
