Operations Manager, Bulk Shipping

Bradley David Associates in partnership with a global leader in bulk shipping, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Hong Kong. This role is pivotal in driving the success of our client, focusing on the seamless execution of vessel operations and cargo management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily voyages, manage cargo planning, and ensure smooth vessel movements.
• Collaborate with a proficient team of operators, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Make strategic decisions to enhance vessel utilization and efficiency, directly impacting the bottom line.
• Handle bulk, project, and parcel cargo, with a particular focus on loading from China.
• Liaise with internal teams, agents, and external parties such as charterers and vessels.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and operational standards are met.

Requirements:

• Strong background in Bulk and/or Project/Parcel Operations.
• Professional experience in the maritime/shipping industry.
• 5+ years of experience within dry bulk operations.
• Ability to operate vessels independently and confidently from day one.
• A commercial mindset with a clear focus on impacting results.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work across time zones.
• Experience with VIP and Sedna is an advantage.
