LCL Export Operator

Bradley David Associates is working with a leading Freight Forwarding business on the search for a LCL Export Operator.

Location: Bromley
Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented LCL Export Operator to join our operations team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in export logistics who can efficiently manage Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments, ensuring smooth handling from booking through to final documentation and customs clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle LCL export bookings from start to finish
• Prepare and process all relevant export documentation (e.g. Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists)
• Complete and submit export customs entries accurately and in a timely manner
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and overseas agents to coordinate shipments
• Ensure all shipments comply with international shipping regulations and customs requirements
• Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to clients
• Resolve any operational issues or delays proactively
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems

Requirements

• Previous experience in LCL export operations or freight forwarding preferred
• Knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures
• Familiarity with customs entry systems
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
