Import Billing Specialist

Bradley David Associates is seeking an experienced Import Billing Specialist to support a reputable and growing logistics organization in Schaumburg, IL.

The ideal candidate will have strong data entry accuracy, billing experience, and knowledge of import documentation and logistics operations to ensure timely file processing and accurate financial management.

Responsibilities

• Track shipments in the system to ensure files are opened the same day as receipt
• Open files in the operating system according to company priority
• Pull EDI records when required and coordinate with the data center if EDI is missing
• Pull AIC charges and shipment information as needed
• Manage accounts payable functions using accounting software
• Research and audit the expense-not-billed report received from corporate
• Work closely with Import, Accounting, and Customer Service teams to ensure billing accuracy and compliance

Requirements

• Experience in import billing, accounts payable, or logistics billing operations
• Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or import operations preferred
• Understanding of Bills of Lading, EDI processes, and shipment documentation
