About the Role
Bradley David Associates is working with our leading financial services client on the search for a Business Development Consultant. This is an ideal role for a sales professional, especially with experience in financial services.
- Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, hybrid
- £40,000 - £50,000 basic dependent on experience

The purpose of this role is to build sustainable and profitable business relationships by:
- Achieving or exceeding annual new business premium targets
- Achieving or exceeding annual new business volume targets
- Achieving or exceeding annual existing business retention targets
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide phone-based and virtual (with occasional in-person) support to a defined panel of distributors, negotiating, attracting, and retaining business in line with business profit objectives.
- Maintain exemplary service for the distributor panel, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
- Follow up on new and existing business quotes via phone and virtual channels, capturing competitor insights, pricing, propositions, and terms.
- Keep distributors informed of business materials, processes, product updates, and promotions.
- Participate in relevant tender processes and internal/external presentations.
- Identify and pursue strategic business partnership opportunities, including SEA, panel, and preferred provider agreements.
- Provide training and support to ensure distributors and customers effectively utilize protection business technology.
- Continuously develop expertise in all protection products and markets to provide technical support and highlight businesses unique propositions.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in financial services and/or general sales.
- Proven account management skills with the ability to manage a portfolio of distributors.
- Clear understanding of the business objectives of the protection division.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to developing professional presentation skills across multiple channels.
- Commitment to keeping up-to-date with products, technology, and business propositions.
- Passion for distribution, service excellence, and personal development.
Job-Specific Accountabilities:

- Establish, develop, and maintain a defined panel of distributors.
- Drive new business growth and, where applicable, retain existing policies within the panel.
- Ensure distributors understand and can utilise our proposition and technology solutions.
- Complete all administrative and reporting tasks as required by sales management.
