About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established prestige automotive business looking for a Bodyshop MET Technician / Fitter to join their workshop team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience within a bodyshop, accident repair centre or automotive workshop who is looking for a varied role and the opportunity to develop their skills further.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) removal, refitting and repair work.

  • Assist with the strip and fit of vehicle components and panels.

  • Carry out basic mechanical and technical repairs where required.

  • Support vehicle preparation and body repair work.

  • Assist with welding and fabrication tasks where appropriate.

  • Support vehicle preparation and paint-related work when required.

  • Identify damaged or faulty components and report additional work required.

  • Ensure work is completed accurately and to a high standard.

  • Work closely with technicians, body repairers and other members of the workshop team.

  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

  • Assist with other workshop duties as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least 2 years' experience within an automotive workshop, bodyshop or similar environment.

  • Previous experience with MET, mechanical or vehicle repair work.

  • Good practical and technical ability.

  • A willingness to develop skills across MET, body repair, preparation, welding and fabrication.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of their work.

  • A flexible and proactive approach.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.

  • A full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
